Lidt om Maine Coon'en

The Maine Coon cat is quite special in its behavior. It's playful, intelligent and naughty in a sweet way even when it is going to be a big and heavy cat. Normally the weight of a male is about 6-8 kg and the females 4-6 kg.

If you want a Maine Coon you have to know that the cat is by your side nearly all the time. Actually they behave a bit like dogs and they love human contact, but they are hardly ever going to be your baby. They are doing fine indoor, but closed doors is hardly tolerated. They live without problems with other pets such as cats, dogs etc. and most of all children.

The Maine Coon cat have a summer- and wintercoat. The winter coat contains more undercoat than the summer coat. Even the Maine Coon cat is a semi-longhaired cat, they do not need some special grooming. It should only be necessary to comp your cat one or twice a week.

The Maine Coon cat is slowly developing and grows until the age of 3-4 years.
